Book Review Committee
Updates

July 13, 2022

Book Committee met to review inappropriate book titles that were given to them by me. This first meeting was an overview by Laurie Breslin, head of curriculum on the process of how to review the books and the new state guidelines.

Administrators, principals, and parents are part of the Review Committee.

The book titles on the list have been removed from the school libraries until they have gone through the review process.

The book will either be determined inappropriate and will not be placed back on the shelf or kept behind the media center with a letter from the parent to check out the book.

The next meeting will be reviewing books and making a final determination.
